Call For Video Artists!
Niche.LA Video Art invites all video artists to participate in a virtual exhibition to showcase their latest techniques, concepts, and creations. This “Call-for-Video-Artists” is year round.
RULES
- All video submissions must be originally generated via video or digital cameras. We do not accept digitized images of oil, acrylic, or mixed media art.
- Entries must be the original work of the artist.
- The curators reserve the right to review artworks for publication or on marketing materials.
- Copyright remains property of the artist.
- There is NO FEE to submit.
CATEGORIES
All single-channel video and computer generated moving artworks. We define video art as moving art that incorporates video and/or audio technology in the product, process, or subject.
Examples: experimental video including new media art, generative art, scratch video, interactive video, optical feedback, CGI, visual music, cyberart, nanoart, any form of proceduralism such as fractal art, cracktros, flashtros, interactive art, Tradigital art, Systems art, pixel art, evolutionary art, machinima, dadmoshing, demoscenes, algorithmic art, dynamic paintings, etc…
HOW IT WORKS
Shows comprise of video art selected from submitted entries. Videos are exhibited three different ways.
- All notable submissions are included in the Niche.LA Video Art Vimeo Channel.
- Selected challenging video artworks will be reviewed by Niche.LA for the Video Art section.
- Curated exceptional video artworks will be exhibited in an annual Niche.LA Video Art Festival.
Selected video artists must provide a DVD and/or Blu-ray for the screening and are responsible for delivering their artwork to the gallery.
ENTRY DETAILS
There is no limit to the number of video artworks you wish to submit.
We only accept submissions via email. Please send links to your online portfolio or website, preferably Vimeo account. Please include a bio, résumé, and mission statement. Include all artwork titles and descriptions.
